Sosyete Gade Nou Leve, Watch Us Rise Society,  is an international Vodou house led by Houngan Hector.  Our members are Haitian, Hispanic, African American, American, Arubian, Ukranian, Dutch, Australian, come from all over the world.  Straight, gay, bisexual, transgendered, none of these things bar initiation into Sosyete Gade Nou Leve.  Everyone has a path to lead!

Watch us rise has both non Asson and Asson lineage and confers this upon our members as the Lwa tell us to do!   All members are well trained and can serve the Lwa both in their own homes and in Peristyles all over the World.   We practice Haitian Vodou as learned by our Tradition.

The base of our Society runs in New Jersey.  Ceremonies are conducted here as well in other parts of the world!  You see the Vodou tradition is about family, as such, I work with members of my Vodou family to do ceremonies too.  Ceremonies, Mariaj Lwa, Lave Tets, spiritual and maji (magical work), cleansings, baths, and other ceremonies are conducted here and elsewhere around the world.   Kanzos are held in Haiti as is traditional.

Members of our House come from all different backgrounds and it is an honor to be a parth of  each and everyone of their lives.    Sosyete Gade Nou Leve's Members are trained to fulfill their roles as per rank and Tradition.  Becoming a member of the Vodou tradition both in Haiti and the Diaspora is very huge role.  But all of our members are able to succeed in living up to it!

When you or anyone else becomes a member of this family, you become a child, a brother or sister, a grandchild, a niece or nephew, a cousin, basically a real member of our family.  Our House is an invigorating, exciting, elevating, loving, nuturing expierence.  Unfortunately, there are places where families and some Vodou families that are not like this.    In some there is much drama, gossip, and envy, others only want your money, and the worst don't give you anything at all!

Something about family that I tell all of my initiates and future initiates, or people trying to understand Vodou is the following: "We are about family.  Just like family, we might not always like each other but we must love each other, that is the way that family works"  And it is true in all families, luckily our family rarely has any drama.  But when it does, like all families, we sit down and all talk about it.  We resolve it in a just manner.

I take Vodou very seriously and so do all of our family members.  There is much respect, love and trust in God and Ginen.  Vodou is our Religion, and like all Religions should be, a way of Life.  It is very important and connects us to God, the Dead, our Ancestors,  the Saints and the Lwa in a very deep and moving way.

We hope one day you could attend our ceremonies and serve God and Ginen with us.  Our House does have entrance requirements which focus on the spiritual.  These are all followed as per our lineage.   You will find some pages throughout the site that can direct you to more information on joining our House, just follow the links below:
